Privacy Policy

GlassForge is built privacy-first. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Our commitment

GlassForge is a private AI workstation for macOS. It is designed so that your AI usage stays on your machine. Privacy is not an add-on or a premium tier — it is the foundation of the product.

Local models run on your machine

GlassForge runs AI models locally on your Mac using Ollama. The models you download and the inference you run happen entirely on your own hardware. GlassForge does not require an internet connection to run your models.

Your prompts stay local

When you use GlassForge with Ollama, your prompts, conversations, and generated output remain on your device. We do not transmit your prompts to GlassForge servers, and there is no cloud inference required to use the app.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose. There is no business model here that depends on monetizing your data.

No tracking unless explicitly stated

GlassForge does not track your activity unless we explicitly tell you and you opt in. If we ever offer optional, privacy-respecting diagnostics or analytics, they will be clearly disclosed, off by default, and fully under your control.

Information you choose to share

If you contact us directly, we collect only the information you choose to share, such as your email address, so that we can respond. You can ask us to remove your information at any time by contacting us. We use this information only for the purpose you provided it.

Third-party components

GlassForge relies on Ollama to manage and run local models. Models you download may be subject to their own licenses. Because inference runs locally, your prompts are not shared with model providers through GlassForge.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GlassForge evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
